| i'm here visiting my sister (whitney), her baby (my nephew seth), and her husband (my brother-in-law david). i brought my other sister shayla with me. also, my mother came to visit and brought my 10-yr-old half-brother michael. so, my sister is hosting much of her immediate family in a very small little house. she is doing a wonderful job if i do say so myself. my nephew is almost 8 months old and tons of fun. he can talk for hours... we don't know what he's saying, but he's talking up a storm.
we went to the beach yesterday. lots of fun letting seth put his hands in the sand and his feet in the waves. today we were supposed to go again, but everyone is napping instead. i think i may join them.
| update: the thing that got me really sick this past weekend is the same thing i have been sick with for almost a year! it has been making me sleep too much and has generally messed up my life schedule. all of that trouble was caused by...
...
mono. yeah. i'm a bit upset. it's just mono?! and where did i get it anyways? (there aren't a lot of guys in my life the past three years to give this to me.) yuck. well, i shall try my hardest to relax and get rid of my mono.
in other news, it is so nice to be well enough right now for mexican food, french fries, and church!!!!
| so for the past few days i have been working about twelve hours a day. (almost all of my allowed wake time) see, i've been paid a bit extra to organize the office at my place of work. so, on tuesdays thru saturdays i am able to go in in the morning to work at that. then, i shower, change, and start my shift as a cashier/hostess. it is turning out to work well for me. except, my room is a mess. all i have time to do at home is find clean clothes and throw them on.
despite my haphazard approach to grooming, a coworker of mine said the following : (imagine a heavy Mexican accent) "Kristina, you are like a breathe of fresh air around here. juu{do you) know why?? It's because you are beautiful. The rest of dise{these) women around here are ugly. juu know Patty?? she looks like a man! --Paul
thanks paul. i don't look like a man. i'm practically a model now.
| i got a new job. i am now a hostess/cashier/training to be a waitress at tres jose's. the first day was just awful, because the whole place is made of concrete - floors included. so, i stood on concrete for six hours. my feet, knees, hips, and back were insane. i couldn't even lay down properly on my bed. i slept over 20 hours. my dad siad that i should get a back brace. well, i was told by my boss that i had to wear business casual and appear attractive to the customers, so i didn't think that a big, bulky, black brace around my waist fit that bill. i would have to at least wear it under my clothes. then, i had an epiphany: if i'm going to wear my back brace under my clothes anyways, why not give it a go with an undergarmet i had heard can do the same thing. so i went to victorias secret and bought myself a corset. oh man! that thing is awesome!! it keeps me in great posture all day long with the added benefit of keeping me smooth and skinny looking, no matter my position. aaaaaaaaannnnnnnnddd... here's the kicker... i think it solved my sleeping/energy problem. when i wear it, i don't get tired. then, when i take it off, i sleep 6 or 7 hours and wake up feeling fully rested and able to face even so daunting a task as a room full of first graders (ack!). so, i decided that i will no longer wear simple bras that really don't do much for me anyways. i will begin to transfer over to all corsets, all the time. | | |
